FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) contain glass fiber reinforcement embedded in cured thermosetting resin as an anticorrosion material have been recognized, its application is used in the field of storage tank, antipollution equipment, etc. which protect metal and concrete structures from corrosion.

Typical types of corrosion do not affect fiberglass. And fiberglass resist to a wide range of chemical and temperature, it requires the right design to match the appropriate application.


Product classification and characteristics
  • ESTAR R 235: Ortho type unsaturated polyester resin suited for general purpose or general acid resistance.
  • ESTAR R 280: Iso type unsaturated polyester resin suited for use in fields that require medium anticorrosion.
  • ESTAR R 2110: Bisphenol type unsaturated polyester resin suited for strong acid resistance and alkali resistance.
  • DERAKANE 470: Epoxy novolac type vinyl ester resin suited for high resistance to solvents, acids, oxidizing substances and toughness at high temperature performance.
Selection of Resin
Base on the kind of chemical liquid use, temperature and other service conditions. The Select resin according to below typical chemical resistance property. Even trace of component will affect anticorrosion property. Particularly, pay to organic solvent. When the composition of a chemical liquid is not know, select resin after test piece test.
